Artist’s Statement

Jane Feigenson

Newton Highlands, MA 02461

I am inspired by the complexities and humor of life. My process is long and slow and I create through the use of layering, texturing, colors and random materials, and am drawn to bold, vibrant colors.  For me, life is about connecting and balance.  I paint with emotion, and want  to connect with the viewer by breaking the rules and creating surprise .  Beyond the color and the element of surprise, I seek to maintain a sense of serenity so that my work is exhilarating but not disturbing.

Each of us has something to say.  I have found my voice through my creative life.  It is up to the viewer to interpret the message.
